Taggin your beats
I understand why people do it, but when I was rhyming and looking for beats, I just always used to close it if I heard a tag on it all the time. Every now and again wasn't too bad, but like you say, you can't really listen to it when you got some loud ass tag every bar. -

Which is better for chopping samples?
I get excited when I learn something new. I can't wait to try it on other projects. I think my problem at the minute with production is that I keep getting bored of the same beat, so I just make a quick loop or two and move on to another beat. Any of you ever get like that? -

^^^ Thanks dude. When I started making music, I didn't realise there was this much to learn, I was an outsider who thought it was just chop a sample, play a few piano keys and add a boom bap line. Shit's damn hard, I bet most of you dudes still learn new things.
