I use sonar 2.0 xl .its pro and yet mad easy to use. Even the rewire function is mad simple in it. You can't import a file into protools tho . And the mixer leaves a lot to be desired. I use logic 5.0 now tho. Its much more complicated and you have to set up each chanel for rewire manualy . But... -

Recording in computer from turntable?
Yeah what light said. Make sure the ground is hooked up correct. The ground wire is the thin wire that's with the rca wires coming from ya turntable. That hooks on to a screw on the mixer that's located near the turntable input on the mixer. Ok now on to your no sound when recording problem. In... -

If I was you I would get the Korg microKontrol midi controler. (Its not the same thing that foremant just suggested,just similair name). It has 37 keys tho and 16 pads. That you cannot only just bang out beats on but. Aldo control other things in what ever program you use. It also has sliiders... -
