ok. well ive done a lot of hiphop joints but im not too sure about recording an R&B singer type of sound. any suggestions? like how to dubb, tweak, effects?? just some general points. i know i have to experiment on my own but following like a guideline would make it a lil bit easier. thanks -

Recording in cool edit pro
you gotta go to the multi track side of cep. there, use each track for each wave file you have. ex. track 1 will be for your beat. track 2 for vocals and so on. if you have track 1 for your beat and vocals, when you record, the vocals will erase the beat. -

Cool Edit delay??? (recording)
update!!! ive noticed that when i cut out like a really lil piece of the recording wave after i record it, and then i undo the cut, it seems to set in place. i dont know why this does it but this is kinda weird. oh well! hope this'll help other people with this problem -

no. my soundcard is pretty good. i think its just that my computer is kinda slow. but im in the process of upgrading the speed and memory. that might help. ill let y'all know -

when i record vocals over my tracks on cool edit it seems like theres a lil delay. i dont know. maybe its me. maybe im just not catching up to the beat. but ive tried lots of times already and it still has the same outcome. has anyone else had this problem? holla! -

what do you guys think? would it be better to get an acoustic guitar and record it through a mic? or should i get an electric acoustic guitar and record through a pre-amp, through my tascam 122?? ideas?????
