Copenhagen, I feel what you are saying. In my opinion in most cases it´s not worth listening to the lyrics any more. i remember sucking up every one of nas lines, but that too has changed now. right now i´m more concerned with finding out how the beat was made and stuff.- HaZwaiOh

how much do you want to spend?`what would you like to use your computer for? i´m just building a new one for myself. by being able pick each component, i can make sure to only get what i want/need. you won´t need a 3d graphic card and a dvd writer for music production. How Do you start your beats?
i start with the main melody. sometimes I sample and sometimes I come up with an own idea. then I do the drums and then I add strings, pads and other melodies on top of it. finally i add a bassline. then i split up the track into different patterns (bassline, drums, main melody etc.) and start... -

i have a dbx mini pre and i like it a lot. warm sound, good price, small and mobile. they are around 150 -
How does an MPC work?
sample cds are amazing. i make frequent use of them and it has certainly expanded my possibilites of making a beat and expressing myself -

yeah, that´s what i am actually looking for. get the playlist in on the one screen and the stepsequencer on the other one. no more scrowling and stuff. the only problem ist that I hardly have any space on my table left and those older screens are very huge. i´d love to get the same monitors... -

I had to buy a new graphic card since my mainboard needs at least AGP 2x. Anyways, this new baby has dual head, which means that I can install 2 monitors. Has anyone something like that? Right now I have a 17" screen. Can I use a 15" with XP Pro as well? Any experiences so far? -
