    Thanks bro, when i'm using this kind of samples i'm getting rid of the idea that it would sound "shiny" or "polished" so i'm going for more of a lo fi sound. As for the change ups I've tried couple of different ones... they didn't work, i got lazy and said fuck it, it's good.

    Maybe you are trying to draw the roll with disabled grid function.Enable snap to grid function and set it to 1/16 or 1/32....

    I think it's a tambourine shaken fast and off tempo...I think the only way to get this sound is to buy a tambourine and record it, or you can try and put some nails in a jar and shake it...
