how do i get melody?
its just sort of an awareness you get. you have to get to the point where you're not making a melody for the sake of making a melody, you're using melody to accent the rest of the track (if that makes sense). start simple...maybe build the melody off a sample you're using...hip hop tracks by...- Agent Smith

needles
yea, if you want to scratch, nothing really beats m44-7...the thing is, there is a fat low end and hi end boost in those so you won't really be getting a "true" sound when you sample...if you sample more than you scratch, maybe look into some m44-g's or something...something wiht a little...- Agent Smith
