I agree with #1...the dude is dope and always was dope... I think Em over Jay/Biggie/Pac. You have 50.....at #50, and I think he should be ranked higher than that....especially over Lil Kim, who wrote very little of her own material. Andre 3K should be #10...Lauryn Hill should not be top...- Sucio

Industry Are Young Rappers Stealing Classic Hip Hop Songs?
At least Lupe did a good job on the record...I heard it on Sirius a few weeks back and thought it was crack and an ode to hip-hop..... But now those people know what it was like to have their shit stolen, like what happened when they sampled the original artist. -

Excellent illustration of the music industry past & present
Record industry likes iTunes....they get more per song in terms of cost rather than selling an entire CD, because no one buys them, anymore and would rather pay $.99-$1.29 USD for select songs......Of course cutting out distribution/manufacturing costs... I'm sure iTunes is a lot cheaper than...- Sucio

Is Rap Music Dead?
I think the proportion of "good" and "bad" rap is pretty identical between now and then. The difference now is technology. More music is readily available, just throw on youtube....torrents....etc. We didn't have that back then, and we would actually have to cop the album....maybe it comes on on...- Sucio

Sampling from Vinyl VS Sampling Lossless Files?
Ok....no more bickering... This is illmuzik, bastards. I do prefer the sound of vinyl overall..... With that being said, my actual preference in sampling from either or is determined on my approach to the beat, if I wanted a cleaner sound, I'd go with lossless, but if I wanted it to sound... -
