if you are layering it's all about EQ, making sure the kicks dont all jam in the same frequency or they might overpower each other here's another way (although not really layering) take 2 or 3 sections of diff drums the kick of a kick drum (beginning) the middle and the tail tune each...- Icemanbeats

pretty easy to read man the bars moving up represent freuqences towards the left side you got the low end towards the right side you got your highs Obviously, the more going on in the graph = the more going on in that particular frequency range...- Icemanbeats

Tips for making each beats sound different???
obviously just dont do the same shit you did on your last beat and it will sound different it's not a bad thing if they all sound similair you might get your own style out of it, just work on what sounds good, using diff samples/synths/effects/drums peace- Icemanbeats
