    if the record a lil scratched up that might be the prob. its extra hard damn near impossible to clean that up with processing u might have some success with one of those noise removal plug-ins if ya got one

    Just Blaze - cuz he can flip a sample crazy and keeps it true to hip hop, plus he can cut like a mutha fucka on the turntables, which is rare in the industry nowadays and Alchemist- just cuz his style is so raw and for the above reasons

    mute groups are what works good for cutting one pads sound when u hit another pad if u wanna repeatedly hit one pad and have the sound cut itself just change it to mono in the program or mode screen assigning it to the same mute group works also

    also hit record stores, yard sales, and thrift stores for diggin instead of a 2000xl u might want to consider a 2500, its about the same price if u shop around and is a big step above or a 1000 its cheaper with more features when the new OS 2.0 comes out and both have usb connectivity
