    you don't need anything...most equipment is able to complete an entire track...like Reason, Fruityloops, any MPC..etc. I'd suggest starting w/ a "producer in a box" type setup and eventually specialize...

    Edirol-30 or Edirol-50 ...I have the 30...It gets the job done...plus, I believe I read you're using FL, not too many are compatible w/ FL, you gotta read the help file to know which ones are compatible.

    ... try doing the hats first...that'll even out your beat. Then throw in snares, then fit the kicks around the snares...then take out the acapella and don't use it anymore...build your melody, put them back together (beat and acapella) to do your counter melodies and build ups
