I agree with boney i noticed most music (definately hip hop) goes through phases by everyone and thier momma trying to immitate wats hot. Everyone is just tryin to make a quick dollar or make that hit single like a kanye or neptunes do with thier own sound. Some times its not even the producers... -

Are there any dj's here that use software to make mixtapes? if so wat programs u use and y? I mainly use Acid myself along with final scratch to make my remix and mash up tapes,but i wanna know if there is better software i should be using? ....HOLLA AT YA BOY -

peep this heres one of my secrets,i made a template in reason that rewires all my instruments into seperate channels into cubase sx.It helps me out alot becuase i can "master" the track directly in cubase when im done or i can add vst effects or instruments to my beats i layed down in... -

i agree with x-squizet i have reason and use my mpc as a controller for it and its works great and plus its really quick which allows u to get your ideas down quick before u forget em (thats a real problem for me!). -
Whats the best sampling software?
personally i think the NN-XT sampler in reason is the best you can go with.Theres mad options in it plus the program is not all that expensive seing all that u can do with reason. -
speeding up vocals
i personally use sound forge to speed up vocals and samples if u mess with the settings on the pitch shift plugin u can get pretty good results just aslong as u dont do a extreme amount of shifting. -
