i have it too...i actually copped it at my local contemporary art museum. it is an interesting book...dillas studio looked extra echo-ey...apparently it didn't effect his music.
the ttx will do it indirectly. it has a function called "key lock" or something to that effect. you would pitch it to whatever pitch you want, lock the key, and then adjust the speed accordingly. im pretty sure technics doesn't fuck with key lock, so tempo and pitch go hand in hand and you...
on turntables, for the most part it's analog. that means if you bring down the tempo slider, the pitch will lower as well. now they have tables like the ttx by numark where it keeps the pitch and changes the tempo or vice verse, but thats all digital. as far as oldschool tables like technics...
its funny this post comes up...i just recorded to one of his beats for an upcoming project of mine that i got from him a year or two ago. i would love to hear him back on the mic but as a person who's needed a break myself, i totally understand.
if and when he gets back on the mic, i think...
wow my style has changed night and day...beats and rhymes.
right before i got heavy into hip hop, i was listening to a lot of experimental electronic stuff. that defninitely bled into my hip hop production. my stuff was sounding really electronic bleep bloppy...then i started incorporating...
Ok seriously...we were supposed to discuss Aesop rock's new album...and kanye comes up?
i'm this close to closing this thing. (if you could see my fingers, the thumb is really close to the forefinger)

aes rock has always been dope. a lot of people weren't feeling bazookatooth...and actually, that's one of my favorite albums of his...because of the production and the subject matter. blockhead has a sort of elegance to his beats which is sick...so im not...
yea, with a new musical set-up, a little dr. phil action is always required to make them work together...there is definitely a lot of info on this site...search the archives and i'm sure you'll find what you need.
welcome to ill and enjoy your stay.
i'd like to say i'm a future-ish producer simply because i find myself doing stuff that i know other people wouldn't do, but doing it in a way that's appealing. my whole goal is to come with a "future-funk" sort of sound.
make sure you know what they want in return..."donation" implies no strings attatched. "investment" implies that they want something in return. all i can think of besides publishing is make sure you discuss that.
Just to put things in perspective, A long time ago there was talk of an entire mc section...fade never ended up doing it for his own reasons. for the sake of organization of the forums it would be a tough thing to do. i'm not going to close this until fade gives his 2 canadian pennies.
plus...
