MPC 2500 slow os no updates?
The 1000 has this same issue though after the latest update too and their still makin that one. I think it simply comes down to Akai sucks a fat one these days basically. -

Word, I mean it aint "that" slow, but in comparison to the processing power of your mac or pc, yeah...its pretty slow, and limited to boot. In a way, that limitation forces you to produce more creatively, etc. - but at the same time it can be just be frustrating cuz some things you want to do... -

It aint all that bad, you get used to it. Its really just worse in the downtown areas. It can be easy to get lost cuz of the way the roads are interconnected, but I also dont live down there so thats the main reason I dont like it. Im sure youll get used to it and it wont be a big deal.- Shonsteez

I agree, was more just intrigued by the fact that it came as a standard feature with the new units. I myself prefer using outboard compression before it hits the DAW if Im going to track in like that at all. -
