    y radio stations dont play local artists

    i'm from d.c. and they used to have like an hour on thursdays when they would play local artists on one station but i don't think they still do it,i heard it for like a month or two and then it just kinda stopped.......i think they are definately tryin to attract bigger names to back their radio...

    i think what you guys are talkin bout with the whole leasing thing is selling your beat non exclusive basically for demos and things as opposed to for albums for major profit,you can write contracts so they cannot resell your beat or use it comercially for profits

    if your lookin to make something go at an odd bpm likke 96.234 the new fruity loops studio 4.1 acctually has that option you can also make your patterns different bar lengths so this is pretty good for using samples hope that helped if you didn't know that already

    if you want a program that lets you open a song from a cd edit it cut it up or do whatever then save as a wav. file try acid music this program isn't good for much else than cutting and mashing,but it's great if you wanna cut samples to put into a song or lay an accapella over your beat,so try that
