    I chop all my samples in Recycle then load the REX files into Fruity Slicer and fuck around. I also use the slicer when i sample drum breaks.

    True, but sometimes some samples just dont work for you. That time it worked for me. If it came out like ass I woulda scrapped it. We were clowning on people who would rep a wack beat just to say they flipped such n such sample.

    What does Hip Hop mean to you

    In Sonar you can just bounce a cpu hungry track to wav and then archive the original so you can always edit it later.

    What Cool Edit does to the sample is no different than any other software. You can only go so far with the timestretching. Knowing how to use it and knowing what you want to accomplish as opposed to just clicking shit makes a huge difference.

    Your missing the point of what time strecthing actually does. You get the idea of pitching it up (think vocals - kanye style) or pitching it down ( again think vocals - dj screw). But there are more features to time stretch. You can change a sample thats 2 bars at 110 BPM to 2 bars at 95BPM etc...

    Average Mid-level Mastering Houses charge roughly 75-100 bucks per hour. 10 bucks a track is a waste of time.
