want to learn web design/ photoshop/ illustartor ..etc..

Try browsing around GFX. There is a lot of good information there both in terms of how to handle software and how to draw. http://www.gfxartist.com/ I do my digital art with Corel Painter. It's pretty similar to Illustrator from what I can tell. I've hardly made a dent in the programs...

Just when you think you're doing something good...

While the price rise is bollocks I can see the logic in the continued restrictions. If long term projections suggest that overall rain fall will remain low then the restrictions still make sense. In Australia we're in a long term drought. Good rainfall last year helped get the dams back up...

how to hook up a turntable to pc

Try the Behringer UCA202 for a cheap external soundcard. It lets you avoid the dinky little headphone jack inputs that most soundcards use. http://www.behringer.com/UCA202/index.cfm?lang=eng

1 Step Closer to impeaching Bush

Then what does it matter if he is impeached or voted out? The handlers will still be there with their next Presidential product. Anyway, he's a part of it all, he has his role to play and he is a roaring success at it. I don't think Bush or anyone around him is concerned by popularity.

1 Step Closer to impeaching Bush

We all wish, but given that Bush has managed to - Rig two elections Set up 9-11 Start two wars on lies Trash the US constitution Establish legal precedents that the US President is above the law Establish legal precedents that the executive branch of government is supreme rather than coequal...

1 Step Closer to impeaching Bush

2good that documentary is absolute bullshit. The guy who made it is in the pay of the oil industry and had previously made a documentary comparing environmentalists to Nazis. In Australia they followed the doco up with a panel discussion and the film-maker was ripped to shreds. It's full of...

    Del tha Funkee Homosapien

Damn right. I've got the 2XLP and I can't bring myself to hurt it with a scratch routine. But it's got a song called Mastermind on it! Del's rap style on this new LP sounds more like what he did with Gorillaz than what he did on the Deltron LP. I was hoping for some more of that Deltron style.

    Del tha Funkee Homosapien

I'm a big Del fan but that new LP didn't do much for me. Even the single didn't move me too much. I'll try it a few more times to see if it's a grower but I was disppointed. Those are pretty poor sales figures LDB.

Saul Williams' album: Failure of online music sales or bad marketing?

I have to agree with Mr Holmz. It's all a matter of how you measure success or failure. If I had that many people listening to my tunes I'd be thinking that things are lookin good. If your desire is to become a mega rich hyper star then maybe it doesn't look so good. But if those numbers...

Rebranding an artist to make $$$- real life example of artists signed to Interscope.

It ain't wrong, I suppose. The kids out there, for the most part, don't want to be challenged. They want a fashion horse to copy and a recycled melody to sing along to in their screechy high pitched voices. Selling to those kids is where the money is at because they all work at McDonalds now and...

Sick of the music industry. Jaded? I sure as hell am.

Are you in the music industry to get rich or just make a living and live meaningfully? If you're in it to get rich, do what you're doing. Have a cycle of guilt trip and recovery and go on and on. Just don't look too closely at what some of that top 40 shit is doing to the kiddies out there or...

    Q-Tip's New Album

Nah, that didn't really do it for me. Sounded a bit like the 60s Star Trek theme.

    Q-Tip's New Album

I have been a huge Q-Tip fan and thrashed Tribe songs back when I was a DJ. But since the Tribe split he hasn't really released anything that moved me.

    Matching Beat With Vocals

Just to be clear, when I chop a vocal I'll cut it into verse 1, verse 2, chorus etc. Not into each individal line, that'd do my head in.

    Nice Funk Soul Mp3 Blogs

I regularly visit a few MP3 blogs where nice sounds are featured. I'm a vinyl collector so I go after the originals, but you could definitely get samples to use from these guys. Some of the younger producers might be able to get a history lesson in the deal. Funk & Soul blogs...

    Matching Beat With Vocals

My experience is that some accapellas don't seeme to match the sequence of the original song. Especially if there is a long instrumental break. Sometimes the next verse / chorus cuts right in without any room for the break. Cutting it up gives you more creative opportunities anyway. Keep it as...

That Ole 60's sound is back.

I gotta say that new Gnarls Barkley song is something else. Lack of bass or not, there's more than enough percussion to carry it off. And the groove is very Detroit soul styled. Love it. I'm not noticing much else 60s style though.
