    Filtering Bass

    Bleh, it sorta worked. I think it's just the sample itself. The bass isn't too clear in the original as well. Thanks for the tip though.

    I cut all the highs and had to cut the mids so that the vocals and drums are all clear of the audio, but the bass just sounds muddy and it's hard to distinguish the separate sounds. Is there a way to make it sound cleaner?

    Why is it so damn HOT?!?

    I hate it...by no means am I overweight, but I sweat easily and this heat doesn't help. I walk around outside for like 5 minutes and I start collecting sweat all over my nose and forehead. :( This whole week has been like upper 90s, but thanks god for indoor basketball courts.

    Names...

    I used my last name, Koh, and stuck with a EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE on the end. Me and my brother are weird asians like that and like to make weird noises sometimes and that was one of the noises we made. So Koh + EEEEEEEEEE = Kohie. HOlla!

    Sampling and having no ear for hearing pitches to find out the keys of songs is the worst combination when you want to add a bass line to your tracks. I know that you can filter the bass out of the sample and then mess with it from there, but it's still limited in terms of the notes you can use...

    I've been trying to tweak the sound of the samples I use lately by putting phasers, choruses, flangers, and EQs. Just for the fun of it to see what kind of unique sounds I can get. Is there anything else that I could use to manipulate the sound of the sample?
