    making the beat itself does not take long. For me, its looking for sounds which can take hours of browsing. I probably need to organize my sounds better. but I believe each beat, usually has 1 defining sound which you can either find in no time if you are lucky, or take hours if you are not.

    love the track, cant wait for the album. beat was hot, Dre's verse (written by Em) was well delivered. and I enjoyed 50's lazy flow at the end. not groundbreaking stuff, but fun to listen to.

    i started with a nylon acoustic. very cheap, great sound and easy on the fingers cuz of nylon strings. if you can learn on this first, moving onto electric feels so much easier!

    thats how I usually work. I don't like using sounds that need too much treatment. I only mess with the db. Sometimes though you only pick up on the mis-matches later on in the mixing stage. This is when you pull out the engineer to fix things.
