Did the NX ship with the CREATIVE ASIO driver? I did some more research and you're right, the NX is not the best solution for low latencies, but drivers do exist that will help you bypass some of the processing by the OS (http://www.ploytec.com/), but you are probably better off going with a... -

Whats the name of the ASIO driver you're using? How much RAM do you have? Do you keep the comp. plugged in when making beats? The 9100 has a type II slot. I use the Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA card and everything is cool in terms of latency. The 9100 is a powerfull notebook more than capable of... -

Adjust the buffer. In FL go to options->audio settings and make the buffer smaller. I had a USB Sound Card before and the latency was unnoticeable. BTW I have the 9100 too. Good Luck, Ctrl -
Treo 700 or Blackberry
Everyone I know with a Blackberry loves it, but I'd personally go for the Treo 700. Just be prepared to deal with all of the bugs it has. You'll be removing the battery cover often to do soft resets. After it happens, reboot and right-click on "My Computer". Choose "Manage" then choose "System Tools" then "Event Viewer". Check the "System" log to see if it mentions what's happening.
