just depends on which one u prefer, go to guitar center or somewhere and experiment to see which one suits your needs 100,000 note capacity is definitely enough for most production applications though the 4000 has more features than the 2500 along with a bigger price tag the 2500 also...- FistFulloDollaz

maybe ur confused I dont know if you know but u can achieve the same thing with the sliders the only I repeat only thing diff. between auto chromatic and using the sliders is its automatically mapped over the pads or keys if ur using a controller in more than 16 increments maybe u havent...- FistFulloDollaz

I have the 2500 and adding baselines aint a problem either u dont need auto chromatic to do that, it just helps with mapping them out over a keyboard controller I use my q-link slider- FistFulloDollaz
