Midi Keyboard Track Onto A Mpc2000xl Sequence?
if the keyboard has no outputs then you will be better off recording your midi tracks on a computer based program, cubase sx, cool edit,ect. but if it do have outputs then there is no reason why you shouldn`t be able to record on multiple channels on the mpc providing you set it up right. -

1st you have to hook your midi cables from the keyboard to the mpc, midi in to midi out and vice versa. then set your mpc up to receive midi, then choose a midi channel to record on. now you have to hook the outputs of the keyboard up to speakers somehow as well as the mpc, cause like mark said... -

what ever headphone you get make sure they have a closed back or you may have a problem with leakage into your mic. -

i use samson. its got 5 inputs. each input has its own volume control for phones, with a stereo & mono switch. plus it has ports in the back so that you can link up several units if need be. it runs for about $130 bucks -
MPC/ spdif
don`t believe the hype!!! i never had a problem with the spdif cables from radio shack. sober what you are referring to is analog cables not digital. -

yea techically thats true if you want to go by the book and if you do symphony & orchestral music. (lol) but in the world of hiphip when you make a beat for an artist and you are there to over see the whole project and have input on it as well, then that makes you the producer. you never here...- nas2000xl

you can get those cables at radio shack for about $18. i have plenty of them. -
improve the sound vocals
use a compressor with noise gate & expander when recording vocals. have the gate to close when your artists pauses on the tracks & open when they start to sing/rap. the expander also helps to minimize backround noise by reducing volume somewhat once the level going in hits the threshhold. for... -

me & voorheez did some work with Young Steff who is currently signed to Roc-A-Fella. i didn`t do any tracks for him but he did some vocals in my studio and i edited some of his stuff. Young Steff did record one of voorheez tracks. i don`t think it got picked for the album though. -

wavelab is a dao (disc at once) burning software. it automatically finalizes your cd. the only other thing i can think of is to make sure you don`t have the cd extra box cheked in the burn cd window. if this don`t help you out let me know. -
MXL 990 Microphone, Getting Rid Of Static?
maybe a bad cable. or if you are plugging 1/4 inch into your board you may have to clean the inputs on your board.
