Roland TR-606 price?
So I did some research & these are going for 400-500 on ebay. Apparently they are rarer than I had though. I dont have any of the chords or operations manual, so I'm hoping to get $300. Its pretty clean though! -

I just came across a Roland Tr606 drum machine, wondering if anyone knows the value of this thing? Its in decent condition, its used but its all in one piece and nothing is missing. -

My point was that it doesn't matter where you are getting your samples, although vinyl is obviously the top choice for most, you can make almost anything sound good with the right amount of tweaking. But thanks for your input. -

I sample straight off of youtube, records, cd's, mp3's, ANYTHING is open game, if the sample is that dope I will find a way to eq it if its over compressed or what have you, very rarely would I skip over something because of quality, but it has happened. -

Do you "songwrite" when you create a beat, or do you just make the beat?
If I'm making the beat with the intention of somebody rapping over it, I will be very specific with the structure, sometimes there may be a hook or I may tell the emcee to just burn the thing down, depending on the vibe of the beat. But if I'm producing a standalone instrumental I like to keep... -
