    Are Your Standards Too High?

^^^That's kinda hard to do because it's your own stuff, you know what I mean. It's just different when I listen to my own. You know where it has faults and leaks and where it needs tweaking. Other people doesn't really know. I just have this mentality when I start out a beat I love it but I...

    Are Your Standards Too High?

I think all my beats are below-average or not up to par....but people from this site has given me pretty good responses in general in the Showcase section so I don't have much to complain about. If peeps think it's hot...then it's hot cuz after a while of making beats...you lose all perception...

What beat inspired you to become a producer/beatmaker?

The producer that has the biggest influence on me was Chops (of Mountain Brothers)....since he's Chinese-American...I just thought that it was cool as hell.

What beat inspired you to become a producer/beatmaker?

I was listening to Necro- Gory Days instrumentals...and I was like...yeah I can make beats like that....been doing it ever since....I had no clue what I was getting myself into...now I get headaches and shit from looking at monitors...working all the time...but hey...I enjoy it. I feel...

How much of ur beats is keepers?

Too much tweaking can really fuck things up....I would just start over with the same samples and formula and make something a little different.

How much of ur beats is keepers?

    Major problems with bassline

This is weird because it only occurs for some tracks but not others...I have tried turning the bass volume down but it doesn't change much though...because I can't hear a damn thing then.

    Describe Your Best Production Work

There's no way I'm going to save my best beats for myself...that would just be selfish on my part. If you're a good producer...then most of the beats you make would be good...so why does it matter?? And the guy above me is right...it's hard to say what your best beat is...I let other people...

    Major problems with bassline

Okay...here's the deal...I'm just starting to learn how to implement basslines into my tracks. I'm doing these tracks and I take basslines and chop them up and then re-play so it fits the main loop/melody. See the high notes and everything sounds cool...they have a sort of punch in them...

Is it me or producing a Club record is THE hardest thing?

I'm tempted to try....but the thing about Club beats....they just come and go. I mean a new one can easily replace an old one...they all sound similar to me. But it's the other classic beats that will bang forever.

How to produce a bombass beat

Me?? I sit down for awhile and just think/visualize...thinking of all sorts of patterns. I have feel and connect with the beat....and then I just do it. I'll take any sample...doesn't matter what...and make it into something better.

Do you tell people what you do???

Yeah..I think that's the problem...explaining to people how you do it and what you do.

Do you tell people what you do???

I mean, do you tell people that you are trying to be a Hip-Hop producer/ make beats? What are some of the responses you get?? I don't tell people cuz I don't think they understand what the concept is all about...because I assume that most just listen to the radio and doesn't really listen to...
