do you need artists to perform on your beats?

no. I'm talking about developing young indie artists with few resources into session musicians. no money changes hands (unless you guys make your own agreements), do your splits, push the work. Most rappers that need beats, most of the people that would lease your beat if they found it, do not...

How do you cope with self-doubt?

no matter how crappy you think your worst effort is, it is still from you. even a looped sample with nothing added, is still your slice. give yourself some credit for being an individual because no matter how many people make premo type beats there is only one premo. and there is only one you...

yo... what kinda music are we making here?

are we making rap beats? look, when I hear the word beats it's always intended for rappers. don't mix in backing music, which technically could be anything but generally means other than rap cause beats are for rappers. you can further differentiate by saying instrumental music, but when you say...

    Keeping short loops interesting??

Spitfire Audio's Free Orchestral Library - [FIRST LOOK]

Spitfire audio required a survey be completed as partial qualification to download their free symphony library. it might not be much but it also might put your work in front of the right person.

Spitfire Audio's Free Orchestral Library - [FIRST LOOK]

aka idk? I mean, thanks, but I read the definition before I asked the question, the question occurred to me before I finished watching the video the first time (I still watched it twice to see If I missed something), despite that and your response I still don't know if delay or some other effect...

Spitfire Audio's Free Orchestral Library - [FIRST LOOK]

new here.... what's a legato and why would I miss it? what could a skilled producer do with that feature? does it mean that the notes will sound disjointed? can't I fix that with delay or something?
