I really like this sample! The intro transitions really well into the main groove. Then inverse of that transition from the "verse" could be a bit smoother though. There's a 2000s Ludacris feel to this that I really like - kinda like a beat Kanye did for him that has that southern bounce/funk... -

Drums hit hard with a sick groove! I really love the old school sound of this. Would like to hear the melodic samples a bit more forward in the mix as the drums seem a bit overpowering. Overall, great vibe! -

What WAS your typical setup?
Acid Pro was sick...I wish they made a version for Mac. I started with 2.0 (maybe 3.0) as well. It was a cracked version, so no access to the loop library. I was using around early Kanye era and sampling had a big resurgence. The warping/stretching was amazing for sampling. What I really liked... -
