Alright fellas. Enough is enough.
I personally think that the time has comefor usto start doing more for ourselves. I have only heard a few full songs from this site, and i think that we all need to step it up and start putting our money where our mouths are. We all had fun with that thread by the soundclick guys, but at least their site has full songs on them.
Were they wack? Um..... yeah, pretty much, if you ask me.
HOWEVER... they have full songs up and i dont. A lot of us dont. Those who are, keep it up..... and those who are not, STEP IT UP. Myself included. hook up with an mc or two, or learn to spit yourself. If rhyming aint your gift, if your delivery sucks, thats fine- but get that experience recording and effecting vocal. Get that feel for the full song.
Even if cats are spittin off your tracks for free- you keep the recording. YOU pimp THEM for their vocals, not the other way around. YOU put together YOUR album with cats on YOUR beats, ala Hi Tek and Premier and Dr Dre.
So thats my challenge to you guys.... step this thing up. Lets start adding legitimacy to that claim of "Taking hip hop production to the next level", because until we do, guys like the elmnts will wind up blowing (literally and figuratively, both ways) and gettin the play and paper, while we sit here typing away endlessly.
The truth is that guys like them make guys like us look bad- because we have superior talent, skills, and vision, but they are doing more then posting tracks for feedback.
