Does anyone have any kind of experience with this beast? I've got a chance to pick one up for 170 bucks locally. The unit is practically brand new. If you could post any kind of experiences with this piece of hardware at all it would be helpful, no matter how minimal your experience is.

thx

the voices mostly.. the 16 track sequencer would be pretty nice aswell, I'm kind of trying to get "outside the box" (read: computer) when sequencing my tracks. I just hate having to be staring at a screen all the time. I'm also looking for something to emulate analog synths (I'd love a Moog but they're damned expensive)...?

I take it you have some experience with the ex-7 or are you just baiting me?

lol!! No its best to get as much out of you to know what interest you the most about an Item. After going on the net and reading reviews thats one hell of a deal. I would say wait a few more days to see if anyone has experience with it then go for it.

werd. im pretty lucky i think, I was lookin on ebay and found someone selling one in my city, it was at 90 bucks plus 20 S&H, so i contacted the guy and negotiated him down from his 225 reserve to 170 and local pickup. The auction has 1 day and 1 hour left, dude said if it didnt go over the reserve he'd give it to me...

Thanks for your post though, lol, I had to think for a minute about why I really wanted to buy the thing. I think I'm developing GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). At least I keeps it cheap haha.

That's pretty cheap, i dont think its the best around but you hardly can go wrong for 170 bucks. I would check if there's a scsi option installed so you can use it for sampling aswell (without being forced to use disks).
