Well, i must say that The Left's own X-to-the-Z has given us a solid album. i could have done without a couple tracks, "saturday night live" and "crazy ho", to name them.
Oh, but the highlights are GREAT.
"Judgement Day" could well prove to be his "Why". he rocks a smooth, chill gospel flavored track and lyrically lends the type of death "why" lacked to push it over the top. i count htis as one of tyhe best tracks of '04....
the albums biggest gem, to me, is "tough guy", which features the cameo king, Busta Rhymes himself. CLASSIC material. RAW, lyrics, delivery, this is the dopest, rawest cut on the album. this is the type of hip hop i love. its just raw, lyrical, simple, and memorable. the only thing missing here is a 16 by redman. hopefully we'll see a remix! plus, it really has a bi-coastal feel.... not quite east, not quite west...
i suggest you buy this album, if at all possible. dont download this one, lets give X the figures he deserves here!
all in all this *could* wind up as a West COast benchmark for the new millenium.
