I was just emailed this info....being a VERY big WU fan I have to share it with whoever is interested, RZA is one of my favorite producers and probably on my all time list but people do not realize how much talent and producers were in one crew its unbelievable when you look back at the influences and you know they had to be good to do what they did because there were so many dope hip hop groups out at that time...they owned the early to mid 90's....anyhow ill enjoy these mouthwatering tidbits for the thirsty until the main dish is served...(Bastard thanks for that video again man)
The Wu-Tang Clan is reported to be on the verge of a big comeback, including the release of Raekwon's Cuban Linx Part II album on deck.
The RZA
Rae's highly anticipated Cuban Linx sequel, which has no release date as of yet, will reunite many of the Clan. It is reported that The Rza will handle 90% of the LP's production with the additional beats coming from none other than Dre Dre and Nottz. Many of the Wu-Gambino aliases who first appeared on the first Cuban Linx joint will also resurface, including Maximillion (aka The Gza), who has been in the studio with Rae recently. Busta Rhymes is also reportedly signed on to executive produce the project.
The new Wutang project also brings surprising contributions from the rock world. John Frusciante, the eccentric guitarist of rock group the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, is slated to help with the project. The Rza, has also been recording ten tracks with Daron Malakian, the guitarist from political metal group System of a Down.
The Rza has also been working with Wu-Tang members Method Man on his upcoming project, as well as Inspectah Deck, who he hasn't worked with in over 3 years. Masta Killa is also in the studio, currently working on his follow up to last years No Said Date.
Meanwhile, The Rza has been busy with endeavors outside of the music scene. The eclectic Wutang producer recently celebrated the birth of his new son and will also start filming his movie The Man With The Iron Fist next month. The film will be a tribute to the Kung Fu movies that helped inspire him and TheWu growing up.
