Good idea.

I was thinking that as far as panelists it might be a good idea to leave it a little open so that different members can join in at times, rather than having the same 5-6 people every show. Then we could really get to know each other.

interesting, although I was meaning that each show we should rotate (change) the panelists. The only thing is that since multiple people have the opportunity to speak at once we would need to keep in mind to not cut off members and allow all to speak. If it were completely open to all members and two people felt that had something important to share then it could get noisy and unintelligble. There will need to be a certain amount of maturity involved in a radio talk show format and many are not that mature (e.g. threads getting closed). But mabey we can open it too all "approved" members that we know can handle it! Good Idea

Food for thought, as with any "talk show", there must be a mediator, someone in charge to keep the peace...I can see some of the possibilities of topics getting out of hand very easily and you all know that we have some very opinionated members here...lol. I too would hope that those involved are mature enough to know when to s.t.f.u. and be curtious to others.

excellent points Dac! Relic being the host would have default moderation and hopefully the option of mute if they didn't listen. Although a backup mod might be necessary because Rel will be have hosting responsibilities that may interfere with moderation. Also, it will be a high privilege to be one of the panelists and if people do not show the maturity to be on it then they will lose it and not asked back. Thankfully here at the ill we have high standards and I think for the most part people respect that so if they are asked to be a panelist I would think they would mind the rules. This is really manifesting itself!! should be exciting

Actually that's what I meant too. I just meant having the opportunity to be on the panel being open or rotating. But it could be an idea to have members being able to "phone in" like on a radio talk show to provide input but not to go overboard with it.
