Yo, anybody no the process for creating an exact copy of a windows xp installation CD. I have ISOBUSTER and nero burning rom but I need to know exactly what I need to copy so the CD is recognized like the original CD.

I'm having major problems installing XP on my Mac. Mac is not even recognizing the CD. I read that it's because of the halogram on it. I also read that if I create a copy of the CD on a CDr then my Mac will see the CD.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Iv'e heard CloneCD makes exact copies of disks. Just cop a "free" version to see if it works.

it's a favorite in the game copying world because of the way it copies a disk... so maybe it will work for what you tryna do

sometimes it's not enough to make an exact copy, in that case you need an app that can make a 'bootable' disc. i believe apps like imgburn, alcohol 110%, nero, elby clone cd/dvd, etc will create an exact copy and make it so it remains bootable.

imgburn is free and powerful http://www.imgburn.com/. it also has easy instructions on how to make an iso and how to burn an iso unto a cd/dvd. what i usually do (especially for back up ps2 games and iso's) is create virtual dvd's (elby's clone drive. free) and mount the iso's with the clones and burn using imgburn

Yea just download them, and when copying games you need a modchip or a swap disc if your burning the disks for a console and not an emulator.

clonecd is the way to go. Also, if you want an official copy but dont want to pay the prices in the stores, just download it from a software site. Me and Clev did that. It was like 60 bucks.

do you know if theres a way I can put PS3 iso's on the PS3 hard drive and play the games straight off the PS3 hard drive or an external? ya know, wit out the need for modding the console or anything. I read a long time ago lots of sites saying it's gonna be possible very soon but cant find anything on it now

it has to be taken apart and the dvd drive needs to be connected to your pc. Once thats done, u need a usb flash drive to boot from off the PC. The usb drive should contain the flashing software and new firmare. its all done is DOS. Maybe I'll get a tutorial link for yall later. I have to roll an L right now........

lol.

that's why i like my ps2. got a flip top and swap magic (i tried the makeshift card switch but that was a bloody pain) instead of having it modded. you should be able to get it flashed at a local shop for cheap if you feel you're not up to it.

as far as i know, ps3 users are out of luck (one of the reasons, besides price, for lagging behind in sales some believe), though i've heard of using usb advance for ps2 games on the ps3 for those with the versions that have limited to no backward compatibility.

yes there is a way to do this. one of my boys has a ps3 and put a 500gb hdd inand puts his games on there. you just need the custom firmware. it works similar to the way the psp custom firmware does.
