Before I say anything let me just say that I GREATLY respect Will Smith for what he has done. To me, his is one of the greats. I don't knock him for not using profanity because that is the more creative route.
It is quite evident however that people on this website don't give Em enough credit for being great. You guys talk about dick riding, but at the same time I think you all jump on each others bandwagons to talk shit about Em when I KNOW you guys listen to his shit and like it (at least his second album). Give the man some credit.
I don't agree that Em should have talked about Will in that song, but he was making a point. Isn't that how rap works?
Rhythm, I'm with you on this man, but remember you can't mention Em on this site without getting a "hater-like" response. Let's go listen to some Kanye...or open a thread about him.

1. Will never responded to Eminem's original call outs because he realised that it wouldn't be good for his career if a beef were to happen. Smart decision actually, coz Eminem was at his peak of his career and alot of American kids were followin him at that time.
2. Now after a long time without any real music, he's making a come back with an album where he's gonna actually say 'shit' once or twice if he pushes his limits. What better way to boost his new career than with a diss straight out to the worlds biggest rap star?
i got too much pride to like will's music, thats just me. listen to Willenium all the way thru, then spin a N-A-S record. u will see where im comin from.

You have to seperate skills from history. On a skill level em probolly would beat will(but will aint no slouch either). But u gotta understand that if it wasnet for people like will smith, emiem would have never happend!
On a skill basis em can beat alot of people, but that dosent mean he gets more respect then them.
I mean lyrically EM is better then Run DMC, but does that mean that we just forget about what DMC did for hip hop just becasue they moved on to other things?? Do we just say Fuck DMC if they wanna come back and make an album and address certain things that were said about them????
I want u to really think about this man, casue as a hip hop producer(if ur a serious one) you have to know this history of your music and where it has been in order to progress.
This aint about being write or wrong i just want u to get the bigger picture......
Will smith can come out with a polka album for all i care, but u cannont take away from what he has done for hip hop, and black men in the entertianment business in general
