i'm sorry, but some of the premise of this thread is off. even equating owning a business and capitalism is beyond simple (i don't mean that your simple) and attaching the problems people have with a system to 'business', muddies the water. if someone states that they think capitalism, or any ism is evil, they are not in turn calling business or owning a business evil. business, owning a business, or commerce/trade/etc, does not need capitalism to exist.
you fail to take into account the barriers affecting people when trying to start a business, despite the statistical and anecdotal evidence showing bias when it comes to loans, leases, franchise ownership, etc that target gender, race, ethnicity, class, and orientation.
it also needs to be said, many economists and experts, or whatever, don't classify the u.s. as the most purest form of capitalism, of course others do, but it's debatable. regardless, it's hardly a true unadulterated capitalist system. question is, would you want that?
as far as evil corporations, or evil done by corporations, throw a rock, you'll hit more than every time. we have a few canadian mining companies that were instrumental in the murders in various countries in africa, to protect their profit.
nestle, is infamous, for all the fucked up shit they do in india, the rest of asia, latin america, and africa. some of which involve babies/newborns and their health. it's one of the companies i boycott (and it's subsidiaries it took over), and this is coming from a dude who doesn't care about much anymore.
ignoring it is like a communist or socialist ignoring the shit that happens in their chosen system.
