yes, but i do not believe that he can be blamed for other "black artists" having low sales- the industry as a whole is suffering. the entire industry is dealing with low sales, white black, whatever......... and to be honest they arent even that bad (from what i have seen statisticly) but when you compare them to the huge sales from a few years ago, there has been a good drop. of course, it has been due in large part (but by no means the only reason) to the rampant piracy and internet accessability.

the other thing is that many artists out now, while they may enjoy success now, do not really have the across-the-board appeal of say, nelly.... or jay z, or ja rule, or outkast. if you have a few solid albums sales wise but you do not grow, you not make strides as an artist, or when you have a "flavor of the moment" sound, chances are you arent going to be around with the same status for 10 years.

i personally cant stand the fact that rock stations will play eminem but no other rap music..... because yes, the fact that he is white does inflate his sales....dramatically. the reality is that if you take away the white guys that hate hip hop but love eminem, his sales are now much closer to that of the rest of the big name rappers, and maybe even lower then someone like nelly's. for this reason i believe that his being white does not really effect the sales of other black artists, because the extra numbers are being generated by the non-hip hop crowd....

and yes, his whiteness does translate to easier promotion, more outside oppurtunities, and a world of benifits that the rest of us minorities do not have. even though he maintains the negative image that scares the movie producers, commercials, etc., away from other black artists, being white still makes it easier for him to get that foot in the door.

Just to set the record straight...Eminems first album was the Infinity album followed by the Slim Shady. By far his best offerings...all his shit from back then was dope. Especially his radio freestyles. So technically his 2nd album (slim shady LP) was also dope...hehehe..sorry Mr.Black...just thought I'd drop that in. I'm with Truth Told also, its unfair to blame him for dips in any black artists sales...if anything that really contributes to Eminems success from his skin colour is because like many ghetto folks that relate to 2Pac...theres a mass of white middle Americans that can relate to Eminem and buy his shit because of it...

Well maybe I was shooting a lil off center saying eminems the reason why black sales are slumping....but It seems my friend told me that it seem when they buy his cd, they really dont look for no one elses, which granted is true for a large portion of eminems consumers....plus it can go as far in terms of radio play the allocated time for rap tracks, and that he eats up the majorty of the time, so others dont get to fill in the void and as a result there record sales slump but thats more of a theory then established fact, its a possiblity...and as for pirating...everyone has slumped sales from that but, having a white domanting the market with white consumers doesnt help., and what really bugs me is these people are swearing emiem is the best of all time, yet cant spit a lic of krs one, big daddy kane, or any of the older greats.....
Eminem is a unbelvable rapper hes amazing, and like I said before he is one of the best to ever do it, however hes very overated, which is sad, cause I wish i could say his success is due to his skill and skill alone, but to be blunt honest, its not...and in terms of white people feeling his shit, well, tell you the truth, theres alot of other rappers that did eminems whole blueprint, that im a loser and rap about how dysfunctional i am , try Pharcyde, Im a bad ass and dont give a fuck Ice Cube and Ice T...his rhyme style...One word redman.....So eminem isnt so out of the blue new, Oh well, whatever, tell you the truth thats how life is, and me waisting my breath preaching on it isnt gonna make a diffrence....if anything eminem does expand hip hops market, as nas said in a interview, that much is very true....so maybe theres some good, coming out of it.....

let me say this again: he is NOT the cause for their sales. ja rule, the neptunes, Missy Elliot, Nelly, and all these southern heads get huge radio spins (at least where i am at) and some eminem, and a large portion of his sales comes from the white market, who while they arent buyng other rappers albums wouldnt be buying them anyways, so that just boosts his sales and does absolutely nothing to others sales. krs one, big daddy, all these other cats i have heard and they do not impress me in the least. for their eras they were great, but they honestly do not compare to even the mediocre artists of today. they blazed trails and set trends and thats great but the artists today are better.......

Big daddy Kane, Krs One ? they Dont impress you Truth Told? hmmm Im starting to question your crediblity as a judger of hip hop talent...granted there not as good as they are today as they were in there prime, but in terms of In there prime eminem couldnt touch krs one, Big daddy Kane, Rakim, Chuck D. LL Cool J/...nah, eminem is good but he aint that great.... In terms of Black artist sales, Like I said, Theres 24 hours in a day, and certain times a day when rap is played on any radio station, its within those hours that some get airplay and some dont...and pretty much Eminem gets first dibs Im not saying that other artist dont get some radio play..its just they dont get as much as eminem.. So unless your another big name artist then your screwed , its really the lil guys who get completly taken out of the picture....(thus the slump in black sales) my suggestion is to study radio program formating and see how much spins a certain artist gets, and if you comapre rap artist to rap artist to eminem you can see and break down that eminem spins is by far way out balanced compared to everyone elses, But then again his white skin allows him to be played on rock stations, contempory stations, and even country...I guess maybe you might see the point im trying to make...belive it or not the art of selling a record isnt neccesarly all based on good music, sometimes you just have damn good promotion..for instance B spears, shes sells alot cause she has millons of dollars pumped into her from the label endorsers, the labels investors etc, its the same scenario for eminem, and one thing I respect is the man knows it and talks about it in his music....so I really have no beef with him, hes just the ornament on top of the whole tree, its the tree that really needs to be burned down... The days of you just making music and selling that is over, Marshal matters is the person, Eminem is the persona that sells the records..makes rich coproate label investors and money and thus has a higher increase (much higher increase ) in sales.....

Some of what Mr_Black says is very true ...... and thats why I sometimes laugh at people who like that " REAL HIP-HOP" because look at most of the artist that do that kind of hip hop ...... BROKE ......yeah true some have money but this aint the 1980's or the 90's ..... Hip Hop evolves .... thats why its able to stay at the top for so long .....you have some that evolve with it or some that stay behind and live in the past wishing that it can be like it was. I'm in this for the love of music but at the same time as a career ....I'm in it to make money ......if theres no money in "REAL HIP-HOP" then why would I waste my time ..... yeah, true .... I want to make good music but I also need money to eat and survive ......in this world its survival of the fittest and those who belive that will succed.

Comparing Britney Spears and Eminem is a bad one ...... its not really gettin your point across because Eminemm has talent and Britney doesn't ..... so there still is a difference .....yeah Eminem has millions of $$$$ pumped into his promotions but his talents still shines through. But album and record sales don't make you the best. They make you rich. I'd rather be rich then be considered the best ...... because at the end of the day, everybodys opinions don't matter and it don't put money in my pocket either.

If I was gonna really compare Eminems style to anyone I'd compare him to Masta Ace. The way Eminem pronounces words, his steez, his attitude, his use of punchlines, etc...he's basically a modern day Masta Ace, which is good for me cause I'm a big fan of Masta Ace.

Besides, at the end of the day...who really cares how the other artists are doing in the industry?...They're still gonna be there and you can still buy their music. Its really yourself that you have to be concerned about if you decide you really do wanna break into the music industry professionally. Thats why theres problems with Eminem, because artists like Benzino complain about it/him rather than doing anything about it. Eminem is doing his thing and thats all that really matters and people should do their thing aswell rather than sit back and bitch about what another artist is doing.

hey mr messenger... "starting to question my credibility as a judge of hip hop talent"? give me a break..... in other words "if you do no like these guys then you must not know anything about hip hop, because they were ahead of their time, they did it before so and so and...."

first of all, in their PRIMES, eminem would eat each and every one of them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pick his teeth with their bones. yes, even the almighty rakim. i could name all kinds of mc's who would do the same.

second, thats just my opinion, you have yours, thats cool, but to "question my credibility" is just rediculous. we all have different tastes and just because i dont see it your way that doesnt make me any less "credible"....

another thing: in order to have good promotion, you have to have something good to promote. good being a relative term, of course, because it is simple supply and demand: if i like artist a better then artist b, regardless of radio spins, mtv, etc., i buy artist a. it really is as simple as that. everyone needs to quit trying to make him a scapegoat for everyone elses slump. and once again, IT IS HIS SALES TO THE WHITE AUDIENCE- THE ROCK GUYS, THE PUNK GUYS, THE VALLEY GIRLS WHO THINJK HE IS CUTE, THE REDNECKS, ETC., WHO ACCOUNT FOR HIS EXTRA SALES. you remove them from the equation, and his sales are much more inline with the rest of the big name rappers. and guess what else? the people who account for these extra sales arent fans of hip hop, just fans of eminems, and they werent going to buy someone elses records ANYWAYS, and so therefore arent making any impact WHATSOEVER on the rest of raps sales. its funny how everyone wants an excuse, because it COULDNT BE THEM RIGHT? just like benzino, he sucks, he hasnt gone platinum TOTAL, for his 15 year (or so) career, so he figures it must be someone elses fault. so what was the problem before eminem came to town?? .... besides the music industry as a whole is slumping, factor that into the equation. EVERYONES sales are down these days.

See this is why Hip hop is in such a state of wack lyrcism as it is, cause people chase money not skill…personally ID RATHER be dead poor, and be considerd the best of all time, Cause its about one thing for me RESPECT..I want to earn respect from my black brearthren and the hip hop community 8 million records sold cant buy that…..

Truth Told..

(first of all, in their PRIMES, eminem would eat each and every one of them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pick his teeth with their bones. yes, even the almighty rakim. i could name all kinds of mc's who would do the same.)

I wont even compare mcee to mcee with you cause I already know it would just end with WELL were all entiltled to our opinions…. However the funny thing is Even Eminem doesn’t put himself high on the list of all time greats, when I was listening to one of his tracks (um…..i think it was the one with nate dog on his eminem show album)

PersonalY id like to see what big daddy kane, rakim.krs one, public enemy, Ultramagentic Emcee, Llcool j albums you’ve listenend to make such a statement? And reason why I question your hip hop credibility is cause I never heard such a opinon from one whos well knowledged in hip hop music, only from those who started listening to it since um, 1998?.....but like I said your opinon….

(another thing: in order to have good promotion, you have to have something good to promote. good being a relative term)

THAT is totally untrue, And I repeat Untrue, I can promote millions of dollars into Nsync, Backstreetboys,FREAKING AFROMAN…., its gonna sell better then someone who has no promotion at all,

(because it is simple supply and demand: if i like artist a better then artist b, regardless of radio spins, mtv, etc.)

Wrong again, any a n r rep (infact this one conference I went to the other day where a panel of Record executives were answering questions) stated that anyone can sell a lot of records with good promotion, its just really in terms of what the investors and label share owners and Presdent and Ceo choose to promote…youd be surprised how many people would buy something if they hear it long enough..(which pop music is heard all the time hence it sells the most…)

(everyone needs to quit trying to make him a scapegoat for everyone elses slump. and once again, IT IS HIS SALES TO THE WHITE AUDIENCE- THE ROCK GUYS, THE PUNK GUYS, THE VALLEY GIRLS WHO THINJK HE IS CUTE, THE REDNECKS, ETC., WHO ACCOUNT FOR HIS EXTRA SALES) Oh so him having a whole shit load more of radio, mtv, interviews, A FREAKING MOVIE AT TH ETIME HIS ALBUM IS OUT… had nothing to do with eminem selling more records then say ...any other big named black artist…. And Also ask your sel fhtis WHY IS IT that the rock guys punk guys , and valley girls are buying his hip hop record and not buying any other black artist, surely there is someone out there that is better then almighty eminem that’s worth 15 dollars less your one toargue eminem is the greatest of all time…..(hint look at his skin tone)

(and they werent going to buy someone elses records ANYWAYS) Yes actually they could have, some people like hip hop and there consumer status isn’t just focused on Eminem…

And Im not backing up for benzino, once again, Like I said NONE OF THIS IS EMINEMS FAULT IT’S THE SYSTEM IN THE INDUSTRY…….bottom line America supports white supremacy this is why you can see white artist succeded more then black ones, Why You never hear of a missing black kid but you here about John Benay ramsey, Elizabeth smart, Why you can look at MTVs TRUE Life Im a senior see every white person go to a university but loe the one Puerto Rican girl they portay goes to commuity college, this type of process goes a lot deeper then just hip hop my friend….and I can tell you wouldn’t know about it, hence you can make the statements you can…..thats why frankly Id rather just let the “sleeping dogs lie”

Again you have valid points ..... BUT, I'm a producer ...... my main concern is wack beats, not wack lyrics ...... I won't even listen to a song if the beat is wack, I don't care how dope the MC is ...... Hip Hop is in a state of "wack lyricism" not because people chase money ...... but because of POLITICS and people that have no skill. Skill is something you can't chase or buy .... you either have it or you don't. The problem is this ..... people always think whatever they do is dope .... when its really not. If the average human could learn how to step outside themself they would see there not as talented as they think they are the industry would be less flooded. I don't need you or anyone that I don't know to respect me. For what? ... I'll probably never see you in my life time. The only people I'm concerened with are my family, and friends and people in my circle. If I sold 8 million records that means at least 8 million people in the Hip Hop community dig my music and again thats all I'm concerned with. Music is my life, not respect.

hmmmm.... actually i think that those who "do it for the love" say that because they arent in it for the money. i am not ding this for the money (i hope) i will one day see from it, but because i love to do it. that doesnt mean i wont take money..... i am sure i will wind up turning a few things down for moral reaons, but the money is only a par of it. i know mad people who do their job because they love to do it, and there are people in my company who could make more money elsewhere doing the same thing but the focus wouldnt be the same, so they choose to stay for les money.. matter of fact the CEO of my company was forced to take a raise by our board of directors..... the point being that people with everyday jobs do what they do for the love of their profession, why is music any different? just as there are guys who rap because it gets them a piece every now and then, because it has the money, because they have the fame, there are people who do it just because the love to do it..... and why would that bother you?

Wrong, Skills in inherited threw practice and time, Talent is something you have been born with , but ever heard of the words Potentiol and unworked on talent? Da vinchi didn¡¦t bang out mona lisa the first time he painted a picture neither did edision make the light bulb with his first creation.

(The problem is this ..... people always think whatever they do is dope .... when its really not.)

Amen! AMEN ! MR SCIENTIST AMEN!!! You are so right , EGO is the biggest problem of most hip hop artist trying to break into the market they don¡¦t admit there weaknesses¡K.

(If I sold 8 million records that means at least 8 million people in the Hip Hop community dig my music and again thats all I'm concerned with. Music is my life, not respect.)

Well music maybe your life But I if you really think out of 8 million people those 8 million people are part of the hip hop community ud be surprised how many rednecks and 5 year old white girls your getting respects from¡Kif that¡¦s what you want fine, and also I take issue in you not liking lyrics, What good is a producer of hip hop if he doesn¡¦t respect the craft of lyrcism the benchmark which YOUR HIP HOP Production is built on¡Kbeats are the background it¡¦s the lyrics that are most potent, never forget that, even Dr dre can come up with a good host of Emcess ranked best of all time, and have some validity to it, and EVEN Timberland recites Rakims lyrics, trust me Hip hop production goes way farther then just your keyboards and sample machines¡K

Truth Told, Really its not the money that¡¦s the problem its how its portrayed the Materlism in hip hop is feed to millions of people who instead of buying books by, jewelry, medallions and now you have people breaking there backs just for a pair of shes and rims not a education¡Kthis is why I have such a deep hatred for this music industry cause its probly one of the biggest contributiors to the decline of black America, belive it or not I hate to say it but hip hop is really breaking down our culture¡K(our culture being hip hop culture)¡KI swear if I get the oppurnity my 1st videos is gonna be me all musclar (since I work out ) with a sledge hammer smashing Bentleys, beating up white men in suits and setting fire to TRl¡K.that will make a big statement wouldn¡¦t you a agree lol the first rapper with a anti Bling movement¡KIm going for the malcom X effect¡K

Tell you the truth you have to forgive me of blunt speaking and frank talking, cause I honestly don¡¦t care what people say or think That¡¦s why I love the truth, a police officer can arrest you for having a gun but he cant arrest you for telling the truth¡K. And no money is worth the power of truth just ask jesus Christ¡K.

Perhaps a quote¡K.paraphrase of malcom x¡¨they only killed six million jews, Uncle slam killed 100 million black people, yes 100 million, 100 million black people were taking from Africa when the civil war was over only 6 million were left, what happened to them where did they go?, there wasn¡¦t even 24 million in the western hemisphere where did they go? Where did they disspear? Why that dog dropped in the water and worked to death¡KHe Murderd them HE BUTCHERD them, HE MUTALITED THEM, I mean 80 million of our for fathers¡Kand you think Gods gonna forgive him for that?¡¨ - Malcom X

And do you think a white mans money is gonna make me change after hearing the words from this man I quoteds mouth¡K¡K.. yeah right¡K¡K

P.S I think some of you guys need to read a book by Alex Haley Called Roots he also wrote Malcom Xs Auto Biography, I think You may see my point from where im coming from....plus there good reads anyway

Double PS what really really really gets me is even though Eminem is the one doing all the work...guess whos making the most money off of him and sighning his paychecks...LOL a black man...........*sigh*

who is "him", that God isnt going to forgive? "uncle sam"? who is "uncle sam"? the government, the white man, who? is it every white person? most white people i know have never killed, brutalized or mutilated anyone, much less a black man. and yes, God CAN and DOES forgive people for much worse things, of course that presents the issue of religous views.......

anyhow, after saying that your culture (referring to hip hop, and hip hop being your culture, your culture meaning blacks) is very much responsible for the decline of your culture, why would you want to be in a video of you beating up white men in suits? how does that work? you just blamed your own people for your problems and then said you want to be in a video beating up white guys.

even if it is the white guys fault, does representing that in your video make you better somehow?does it erase the damage that has been done? no, that only means that you burn with the same hatred that SOME "white men in suits" have. i am sure everyone here will jump all over me for saying this, but why is it so wrong for Blacks to have to put up with racism, with being oppressed and stereotyped and the bad ones always getting grouped with the good ones? why is that so wrong, (i agree that it is) but its ok for blacks to do the same things to other groups? how many rappers use the word faggot? but let someone say nigger and the war is on, right? damn i was 11 YEARS old when i moved to the desert with my aunt and i got a bunch of beer bottles thrown at me by a bunch of skater-slash-skinheads. that doesnt make me hate white people. my apartment was invaded by mexican gangsters when i was 13 and moved from hemet to san jacinto (right next to each other) and i got beat up (still have scars from that one) but that doesnt make me hate mexicans. my mom had a baby with a black man who beat her unconcious at one point but that doesnt make me hate blacks. guess what? life is unfair, we all deal with various prejiduces and we are victims at times of society but damn why does race always have to be an issue? my friends mom hates blacks because she got raped by a black man.... does that make all blacks rapists? is she right for her hatred? no. in the same way all "whites in suits" do not hate blacks.... or even act like it or joke about it or anything like that.

I'm white and certainly not proud of my ancestors, keeping slaves, killing slaves as they saw fit etc etc, just like the Germans aren't happy about aiding to killing so many jews etc, but we are the new generation and we can learn from our ancestors mistakes and we can build a better world together. However, your opinions leave little room for this foundation. I can't be responsable for what the idiotic things my ancestors did nor is it up to me to be sorry about it, but still I am.
Why does it have to be about being black, white, yellow, green whatever, what about being one as a culture and fighting together to make what we all love better. Hip-Hop might still be referred to as a black music, and I certainly respect black people for their music, which I love so much, but it isn't only for black people to keep anymore.
I don't care what colour you are, I care about your morals, ethics, person, opinions and music...

Truth Told Malcom X was the person who was saying that, and really I don’t think he mentioned anything about all white men, and even though what he was saying maybe be a lil bit over the top its makes a clear point though, it’s the results of slavery that still is field today that hurts black America ass a whole….every ethinic minority was able to raise up on the social status but black people, statiscly and its sad cause black people were the ones that by far work the hardest… God forgives anything, and Im not saying ALL WHITE men are guilty im just stating that the history of it is sugar coated and I feel if people were more aware specialy black people maybe they may get that fire to do something about it with social change..…rather then get that fire to fire at each other, (and your people as well)

()even if it is the white guys fault, does representing that in your video make you better somehow?does it erase the damage that has been done? no, that only means that you burn with the same hatred that SOME "white men in suits" have.() You right, it doesn’t change the past, and your right it does shoe more of a physical aggression agasnit the white man, but tell you the truth Id rather have brothers mad as hell, ready to fight for what they want(Not necessary phyiscaly…) but show that we are strong and we can do what we want despite whatever the hell kind of chains are strapped to us by a white majority government who sets rules in opposition for all colored people and when I mean colored I mean everyone with a ethinc background, all minorties…\

((i am sure everyone here will jump all over me for saying this, but why is it so wrong for Blacks to have to put up with racism, with being oppressed and stereotyped and the bad ones always getting grouped with the good ones? why is that so wrong, (i agree that it is) but its ok for blacks to do the same things to other groups?))

Why is it wrong for blacks to put up with racism and oppression and stereotyping? Do you know what your saying, I think you need to read your words amigo…..Im not saying its right that black people to be all mad racist like the white man is..But I tell you this after almost 400 years of being in America under the most brutal punismhmetns inflicted of people of color, and even this modern slavery were under today would be more JUSTIFED and I say this JUSTIFIED….in what extremist views he would hold… reason why a white man couldn’t do it is simple its like comparing apples to oranges, you go threw slavery, racism, having fire hoses sprayed in ur face, having them hold ur ancestors in filth rotting boats, diseases, having them stolen from your homes, having them take away your family name, You see the way that they look down on you in the hallways, of school and in jail you see how those white girls call your daughter dirty cause of her color and you see how you cant take someones hands in marriage cause her father cant stand your black skin, then youll see exactly what the hell im talking about…. And im sorry that if I struck a chord in you for you to bring out your life experiences, and my god im so sorry you had to go threw them, but my friend Im not mad about just one person im trying to represent a whole people who are blind man….lets not confuse it with just rap music (didn’t jay z say that?)
What your assuming Truth Told is im generalzing and im not, when I say white man I just mean the ones that are the racist that are the crooken polticans and are the ones who set things in opposition against colored people, I could never hate all white people, for god sake I fell in love with a white girl….

I disagree I think you assume I should be fighting for all races, personally I couldn’t be true with myself and do so, Fighting for white people…I mean granted I do belive there are oppressed white people so perhaps its not really a race struggle but class but it seems funny that those that are in the lowest class are all minorties…while the ones on top are majority white….

Also Im not saying hip hop is just for black people can anyone cut and paste where I said that? All im saying is this, Im trying to uplift those that are on bottom it doesn’t make anysense for me to try and uplift the ones already on top ….so I don’t see your vision of a hands across America less those people on top are willing to help those on bottom which in most cases they don’t cause such as a capitalistic society it’s the using of one that benefits the other…. I don’t care what any color anyone is….I really don’t , that’s why I do like eminem even though hes overated as hell, hes over exposed as hell, and its unfair that a lot of artist suffer cause of his success, He does 2 things, Builds up gaps btw black and white people and increases hip hops consumers, Its funny how my friend who hates rap music before bought a eminem cd (of course he was a skater, what else did you expect) but the other day I found a Xzbit cd in his car, and I was like…well this is intresting, like nas said in this XXl magazine I read the bigger eminem gets the bigger hip hop gets……and yep you better belive that’s a good thing………………….

yup.... well after that post i can see that there is a deeper current to your thinking. my point about it not being ok for blacks to have to deal with certain things, the racial issues that dominate or society, is that there is a double standard coming from many blacks in this regard. i feel that it is wrong that blacks have to endure the things that they have and do to this day, however it is reciprocated with such zeal and abandon that...... (basically throwing up my hands at this thought) ok, i will put it like this, as i said in my original post... why is it ok to make remarks towards gays, to asians, hispanics, to religous groups, to women, .... because the thing is that while many blacks still grow up and remain in the ghetto, many are doing nothing to alleviate that. they only propegate the same things that keep them locked into that economic and social "im such a victim" mentality.

here is a question: when was the last time you spent years rowing yourself to your life as a slave in dank, rat infested ships chained to hundreds of others? when was the last time a cross was burnt in your lawn, when was the last time you were lynched? in all likelyhood, none of these things have happened to you.

i say this because i am a christian, and MY ancestors were persecuted ruthlessly as well. men and women wgo followed Christ were dipped in hot tar, and lit on fire while mounted on stakes by cesar nero. most of the 12 disciples were brutally murdered (beheaded, cut in half, boiled in oil (actually John survived that only to be banished to patmos..... i would take prison any day of the week over that place) and to this very day christians all over the world are killed and persecuted for their faith. churches in africa are being murdered and being destroyed every day. these are churches full of african natives being murdered by african militants. i read an article recently about a church in the sudan that was massacred, wih very few survivors.

and as far as the jews, believe me, jews have been murdered in numbers far and above the 6 million from the holocaust. muhammed murdered millions of jews on his personal crusade... and to this day jews are not alowed within the borders of Arab nations such as Saudi Arabia (there have been VERY few exeptions to this), and they as a people were COMPLETELY driven out of their own land for quite some time.... and most nations would love to destroy them completely (wonder why it hasnt happened.. hmmmm... 6 day war anyone?) but for SOME reason they cant (nor will they)

and yes, i know full well the sins of constantine and the catholic church and the inquistion, crusades, etc.,..... and i also know the history behind that particular denomination (it all began with nimrod and the tower of babble, the "virgin" birth of tamoos, its a long story..) and much of its history does NOT line up with the law or the ressurection..... anyhow thats a whole other topic.

i am merely saying that the struggle of YOUR peopel is not unlike the struggle of other groups... and that for many there is a common thread of suffering, and while this "hands across the world" view of mine may seem like a fantasy (i assure you it isnt... my church is a testimony of that) it is very similar to the issues there are with the homeless, poor, etc., - i.e., that there will always be the poor but we must remember always to reach out to them (to paraphrase the bible ) and do what we can. the point being that we will never have world peace, we will never all be one people with one voice (until Jesus comes home) and we certainly will never all agree on anything (again, my church can testify of this!) but we still ought to strive for better understanding and relations between each other.

MR. Black, let me say this: i have a great respect for you and your views, and especially your passion for and devotion to your people. i appreciate this discussion and while i am not trying to change your world view in light of it, i do hope that we will both gain insight from it, (i know it has made me think about a few things) because you my friend have tremendous leadership qualities and i believe that given time and divine appointments you will emerge as a powerful voice for hip hop, blacks, and whoever else your heart goes out to.....
