Hes a new school rapper, imo the best "young thug disciple" there is out there right now, he dropped an album in December and a song from there "The Box" has been #1 in Hip Hop R&B charts ever since. It also went #1 this week on global top 100 so yeah, its a huge hit and its an actually great song too. Really recommend the whole project from him, you won't really get much of a deep lyrical content, but he does the trap genre justice and can actually sing and hold a tune.

tl;dr Hes the hottest new rapper out right now with a #1 song

I try to like trap rappers, I give them an honest listen and a chance to win me over, and they just don't so much of the time. I'm not even that hard to impress; you can rap about the same few subjects all you want and it's fine if the music at least sounds different, but it doesn't. I couldn't pick this guy out of a pool of all the people he's copying.

Idk, I think its all about personality and voices right now and I personally could definitely pick apart Gunna, Roddy Ricch, NBA Youngboy or YNW Melly from one another. Theres definitely a lot of Young Thug and Future influence in most of todays hip hop and thats prolly why it might all sound similar to you, but if you take the time to actually explore each artist individually I think you'll get it more and more.
It's not that difficult to stay up to date with current music. If you hear about some new guy or some new song, just type it into youtube and click through some stuff. Then you atleast always have a picture on whos who and what they do.

I've always @That Guy been big on rappers who aren't one dimensional in subject matter. Trap does nada for me.
