I say In living Color personally, but not by much.. its a tough argument. Different generations too kinda.

You judge a person of product's impact by how many careers it launched or discovered. This is why SNL is such an institution in mainstream America because it launched so many legendary careers.

Look at how many superstars and respectable comedians were launched from In Living Color. J-Lo was even a Fly Girl. Jim Carrey became a mega-star, it solidified the Wayans brothers as 'comedic geniouses'.

Chappelle Show finally showed people that Charlie Murphy is actually funny and the skits were edgy and pushed certain barriers but Dave Chapelle was influenced by ILC hands down.

I like Living Color a tiny bit better...

They were hilarious without pushing the limits, like the Chappelle show.

However if Living Color came out nowadays, I'm sure it would push the limits just as much as Chappelle show...

Living color wouldn't dare use the "N" word..... And you didn't need cable to watch it...LOL....

GREAT POINT. Imagine if In Living Color had the "freedom" that the Chappelle Show had.

yeah but Dave is better...they had to shut him down because he was so funny. All those guys that was on DC could've went on to do bigger and better things if the show could've lasted. LC was good but Jim Carrey was the funniest cat on the show then Jamie Foxx the rest were o.k. Dave's show always pushed the limits...come on yo...you can't find anything on LC that was funnier than "Clayton Biggsby...the blind Black white supremacist".

Damon wayans was the funniest cat on ILC imo. Jim Carey #2 . IMo jamie foxx wasnt that fuuny when he was on the show.... the only funny skit he had was "Wanda", that shit was hilarious.

on a side note its mad hard to find chappelle show clips on the net.. most of them get taken down..

You gotta weigh the time period that In Living Color came out in. TV didn't have the edge in the early 90's that it does now.

Chapelle Show came out in the "post-SouthPark era" where you could do whatever.

I like the Chapelle Show, I think it's very funny and a lot of the skits are genious but I always favor the originator and I know that Chapelle was inspired by Keenan Ivory Wayans and ILC.
