yeah that's also illegal dawg (the latter two anyway).. if you want to be serious about production, you have to know that you're going to be successful. It doesn't make sense to be freeloading on tools when you're making profitable stuff wid em.. what comes around goes around!

also I like mpcsounds.com they have a lot of variety!

So your telling me you pay royalties on all your samples then????? ;)

Where is the last place you bought legal samples from? I bought mine from FLXCPE, there good but they only have 2 kits so im looking for legal sites like modernbeats or mpcsounds that have decent prices for some kits, wheres the last place you made a purchase?

My question is what makes "them" legal? I mean who owns drum samples anyway? With so many 808 and 909 kits out there for sale, does the seller own them? Does Roland get a cut since those are 2 popular Roland machines? Does Emu get a cut from all of the SP1200 kits being sold? Unless these folks are in the studio "making" these sounds they don't own shit. What you're paying for is for them to sample off of records or what ever, edit, layer and normalize the samples. But in the large sceme of things, not many sellers really have legal right to any drum samples. With that said, I never buy these "legal" samples. I'd rather steal them my self.

i buy them//usually on ebay ... my theory is u can never have enough drums... so in addition to finding my own i def buy kits out there.... the more samples i have the faster i can work because i wont have to tweak them..ill just get 2 snares, layer em and its a wrap
