In my daily browsing, I push the quick links to http://del.icio.us/tag/Vst ... there are a couple of other people that contribute to that tag also. KVRAudio (as mentioned above) has a great database organized in pretty much anyway you would need. There is too much free stuff out there even to keep up with.
