While mixing, what's everybodys favorite fx and fx trick that you normally put in every beat or vocal?

Mines is reverb with the predelay and a delay with another delay goin into it, makes it sound like a speaker at event.

I have a couple go to's but one of my favorites and most used is adding a side chain after my delay plugin to make something else stand on top of the delay. I don't think I'm explaining it properly but for instance,

-I have a main vocal track that I'm sending to a constant 1/4 time delay
-Add compressor with side chain capability after delay plugin
-Set the side chain of my compressor to my main vocal track and adjust the attack and release to allow my vocals the turn down the volume of the delay when the vocals are in and get to max volume when there are no vocals.

Also works well with looooooong reverbs!

Honorable mention: Pitch shifted delay!

Yeah, the .pre-delay effect is one of my favs. I use it mostly on vocals with the reverb tail, reverse it then place it in front of the vocals.

How do you reverse the tail of a reverb?

-You take the track you want the reverse reverb on
-put a long reverb on the original track
-reverse the original track
-record or print a new track from the original (reversed original with reverb)
-reverse the new printed or recorded track
-take the reverb off of the original track
-trim out the extra shit you don't want
