What gear changed your production style or sound?

Yea, I guess I started a little under a year ago but since then i went from garageband to logic, which really weren't that good for the sampling I wanted to do but I learned most of the basics of studio software. There were also the Applestore tutoring sessions which were pretty cool and taught me wat i needed next.
I got an Axiom 25 which is great for me but had half assed support for logic.
Reason and recycle I've had for about a week now and I really like the sampling so far. It seems like my biggest step yet.

once i discovered you can chop samples wit da tr like an mpc. and strip drums wit the TR like no other.
I neva used expensive equip. but da KORG TR is a sound investment. Putting all my music resources together in 1 room made work flow much easier 2

What 1 piece of gear changed your production style or sound?

I would say ASR-10..

me too, i love the asr. when i first copped that i was like!!! im hooked for life

I'd say the MPC 2000XL, that was my first drum machine. My kicks started banging with that machine.

probably just getting a keyboard/midi controller. i'm a "hands on" kinda guy.
