if your using an mpc proply it shouldnt make your drums sound weak. in fact quite the opposite. mpc's make everthing sound chunk especially drums.

compared to the 60 & 3000 the 2000's drums are weak...i think Boss' SP-303 has a thicker sound than the 2000 which is why i sold mine...the drums sound weak as fuk!!! the snares are thin and the kicks are lacking on the lows.

im getting an MPC-60 once i find a good deal. im excited like a muthaf*cka!!!

i had the original 2000 and it didnt sound as dirty or "big" as i wanted it too...i dont buy sample-discs, i sample them from my vinyl collection. Fruity Loops had a bigger sound than the 2000...

He uses all that...I reproduced the whole "Come Home With Me" beat using Adobe Audition 1.5...except for the drums of course.

You don't need all that. You just need something for chopping up the samples. And something for the creating and matching drums to your sample, that's all...

And, maybe a MIDI player...if you wanna be Scott Storch or something.
