What's Up everybody, I was looking around for a good soundcard and saw the Mackie HUI DAW Controller, what does this thing do? I know it controls you recording software but is it also an audio interface like the Digi 002. If anybody has had any experience with this product, please tell me how it is.

It controls the software you use(Sonar, Cubase,PT,ect...) It has NO Audio at all check these cats out if your looking fo a Control surface/Audio interface

There is no preamps nor in and out on mackie control unit.
Maybe you saw another product but what is the name exactly???

It gives more in and out, and pre-amps for PT at the same time it's a controller!!
Good one, Mackie products are though like tanks.
This is way better controller than Digidesign's ones except for Control 24 and Icon. And less expensive...
