Yeah....he's tight. I'm feeling his ish, although I haven't bought Horror, I've been considering it and was just wondering if it was worth copping. But what I've heard of him...he produces brilliance. Cunninlynguists and Master Aces track 'Seasons' was completely blaze. If its worth gettin' his album....let me know.

he is from new york (I think)
He's on Def jux. I don't really know how long he is been out. I like his music. It remind me of DJ Shadow but with a harder edge and maybe more (I hate to say this...) hiphop.

RJD2 is one of the best producers around at the moment in my opinion. He is one of the best samplers and I wish that I could make drum patterns like him!

he is indeed the best sampler out... shadow cant touch him in my view. actually, there arent many who can, skill wise. he is an enourmous blessing to the underground; he is the rare artist whose MUSIC trancends genres and becomes it's own entity. no on the general radar posses his creative brilliance, and while i am certain there is some 14 year old out there with a jacked up turntable and an sp 202 who's about to yake over in a few years, RJD2 is the nicest around. his only "flaw" is that he is well above the heads of average listeners, (arent most artists who are worth listening to?) which in turn do not translate into "real" sales. let the underground rejoice!!!!!

i think horror is worth it but i liked his other album "deadslinger" alot more.On "horror" it has alot of "remixes" of his older beats. Its not the same old type of remixes though, he completely flips his beats. Some are actually better than the original. As an RJD2 first album i would suggest buying "DEADSLINGER."

I think he sucks, why does he get so much hype for being a second rate dj shadow. Then again i'm not into that psuedo abstract type of hiphop that appeals to backpackers.

Beatoff I must say if any web site had a star and buckwild you would be star because you don't like anything......No disrespect intended......That makes you someone to listen to especially in the showcase you would give your honest opinion instead of sugar coating it

hey encore, its DEADRINGER, NOT DEADSLINGER!!!!! LOL! anyhow, shadow is nowhere near as skilled as RJ... just because shadow came first, that doesnt make him better. RJ is much more colorful and vivid than shadow; there is much substance to the hype. the words "psuedo-abstract" are much better reserved for his work with aesop rock, and heads like Del the wack homosexual.... now there is someone who is grossly overhyped!
shout out to inrctymusic.....
