The nigga that i used to do business with had a studio n shit. I thought we was on the same page and shared a kindred vision or what not... but i was wrong. I did two songs with the guy right? But he wouldnt mix the motherfuckers down so that i could finish makin my demo. I asked why wont you EQ em, he says "I'm not in a rush to EQ em unless niggas willin to give me money". I was livin on my own, payin my own car insurance, payin my own life insurance, footin the grocery bills, gas is a mothafucka, the brakes on my whip was failin and i could barely afford to save. I told em i aint have nothin to give and i thought he understood that. I let the nigga have the second verse on "That Money" and i was gonna give him the third verse to "Chevy Sittin high".
Some other Sound Engineers heard the unmastered track that i leaked on the internet and offered to do it for me. He would never send the tracks to them in data form. I told him to delete them mothafuckas. If you wanna hear one of the songs i can email it to you. or just go to http://www.wemix.com/clip.aspx?key=ED2D2E11A6D37CDD

Sounds like you got stiffed mate. You'll have to work that stuff out in advance next time!

Good luck finding someone a bit more stable/reliable/trustworthy to work with. They aren't exactly a common occurrence.

That sucks man thats why you gotta have that settled from the start ...
But alot of people are in the same boat financially so don't expect anyone
to really care in situations like that no ones really tryna here all that especially
in this line of business.

it shouldnt be that hard for you to find beats and people to mix down your music.
just goto myspace there are 32,897,784 producers looking to fuk with somebody.

On da real....Most producers tracks here won't suit your style...I'm just sayin'...keepin' it wunhunnid witcha...myspace producers may be ya best bet.

And on another note.....U may need to practice what you spit in your rhymes! In that money joint you got up you speak the fact that if you don't have money you ain't fuckin with 'em....WELL....today in this music game katz want you to put up something! I'm sure you're clubbin', buying smokes....probably puffin' on that "purp"......it may not be much but sometimes all up & coming producers want you to do is lace there pockets with something to show your appreciation for them working with u. There's always a 99% chance you're music will never get out there to make money so dudes ain't trying to hear that "we gone get paid in the future" line...I'm just saying.

Not to mention the average rappers be some "if E" mofos anyway....IF they think they can get on with your beats they'll fuck with u but IF they think they can get on with the next mans beat they'll fuck with them and leave u high and dry......BEEN THERE DONE THAT! I'm sure most producers here have 2...

Welcome to Illmuzik. After reading your post, my thought is that you should cut out the middleman and find a way to get a basic recording setup for yourself.

The fact that you're in a situation where you have to rely on others to "let you record" is never a good thing. It's how a lot of us ended up as producers in the 1st place.

As far as getting the most out of this site, I would say that you should do searches on how to setup a basic recording environment, and how to do this on a very low budget. There's a lot of people who will help you do that. This is a good site to learn about production, and there are a lot of talented people on the site who work together on different mixtapes and albums.
