Think about it, all cultures and ethicnites are invited to participate in hip hop culutre. But when they do they adopt many black cultural mannerisms(dress, slang, etc) Alot of people dont have any context for what they copying or emulating. They just do it casue other people do it.gram green said:im not sure that is exactly correct....
THERES WHITE AND SPANISH KIDS IN THOSE BLACK URBAN ENVIREMENTS TOO, LIKE MY DOG A-BIGGS ,POVERTY KNOWS NO FACEclassic said:Think about it, all cultures and ethicnites are invited to participate in hip hop culutre. Hip hop is world wide now and i have to come to terms with that.(illmuzik had helped me see that) But 99% of hip hop comes down to this.
If (urban)black americans aint feeling it, it aint gonna selll and other people aint gonna feel it. your not gonna see black urban youth imitating white kids in the suburbs or (black or white) kids in the UK, germany or france
its a trickle down effect. Shit starts in the black american urban enivroments and spreads everywhere else So thats what i mean when i say hip hop music is made for (urban)african americans
Bring on the contraversy.....

Im definaly not saying that whites and hispanics did not particpate. But lI still stand by the fact that AFrican american culture is responsable for 99% of the hip hop trends etc... EVen the hispanics and whites that are down adopt many african american culltural mannerisms. Basically they were "assimulated' into black cultureBASTARD said:THERES WHITE AND SPANISH KIDS IN THOSE BLACK URBAN ENVIREMENTS TOO, LIKE MY DOG A-BIGGS ,POVERTY KNOWS NO FACE
Gram your right on this point casue i know alot of beougious black people also(im in graduate school). and if u noitce, i made sure I emphasized Urban black americans. Just becasue your black does not mean you can relate to hip hop. I have been all over the world and witnessed this. Many africans feel the same way about hip hop that white americans do. But i still feel that Hip hop is and central aspect of black american culture. Others are welcome to particape but u have to follow the lead of urban black ameriansgram green said:i know some beougious ass blacks that act whiter than white so stereotyping is all it is to say that....
