Hi,
i've found that wen i use a number of samples in a song with reason its really hard to get them to loop together right and keep the right tempo thru-out the song !
If i just use a single sample i don't have a problem !
Is there a better program to use with samples or is it just me ! ?

oh i use cool edit btw to chop up the stuff !

Im guessing when you are chopping your samples they arent all perfectly fitting with each other bpm wise.....if you chop one sample at say 1 bar and its at 96bpm then all of your other samples you chop are going to have to be consistent with that. If they arent chopped perfectly they are gonna sound like ones shorter or longer than the other...you can sort of mask this sometimes with a delay or something of that nature, but I would recommend getting recycle if you have reason. With recycle once you chop one sample you will automatically know where to chop the other ones because it tells you your bpm's on all samples once you set there lenght. I got it and its a big help if you work with samples alot.

another route u can try is instead of using recycled loops u can use reason rewired thru acid or ableton live maybe that will give ya better results. but if you are precise with your cuts on recycle then everything should sync up well ....HOLLA AT YA BOY

Alot of this jus comes with practice...See, you really cant jus slap a sample on and go!...All things need to be refined to sound and work properly...You basically have to jus practice listening more and choosing what and where to sample, also - understanding the ins and outs of nn-xt is important to fully utilize tha potential of yer samples...Plus, a general understanding of chord structure and time stretching/beatmatching is necessary.

Also what every 1 failed to mention is recycle is just the " chopin"(well it has other features like time stretching and filters etc...) program
You can't record actual audio into it. So don't put away cool edit yet. Record ot rip ur sample in cool edit cut out like a bar or 2 (or more if you like) loop and save dat selection as a .wav . Then you open recycle and import dat .wav into it.
