i know this is just a general question, but maybe you can help me.
Right now I am running Windows XP Professional. Everything is working nicely and I am absolutely happy with it. I am about to install a new mainboard and a new cpu to my computer and since my system is very stable right now and I definitely don´t want to reinstall everything ´cause it would take years. I would like to use my current windows with the new hardware as well.
But I am worried if XP will work with the new components. I am wondering if I can just remove the drivers in the device manager, shut down xp, install the new hardware, start up xp and it will find the new hardware? Is that possible? Any advice is welcome ...
