Just got done watching it... Some good fights, the last one was too well matched though, both fighters were very cautious..... It's kinda crazy though because Stephan Bonnar was brushing up on his Boxing and Muay Thai skills at the gym I go to... I would catch him now and again just walking around...

yea stephan bonnar is pretty good, but diago sanchaz i give him a couple years and he will be unstopable.
But I am glad spike tv is putting it on cable now cause i don't want to pay for it, i used to get the fights online. and can't wait for ultimate fighter 2.
but i found a couple schools around my way i want to study Muay Thai, BJJ and wrestling, but all the schools around here just focus on BJJ except one and its like an hour or 2 away.

I take Muay Thai/Boxing, I was taking Taekwondo but I liked a more devistating style like Muay Thai so I quickly made the switch... The gym I'm at just started teaching MMA though, they got a BJJ Black Belt teaching now and a very good wrestler... It's a well rounded school and it's one of best in the nation for Muay Thai... Check it out, www.dukeroufus.com Duke was a 4 time world champ.... MMA is the way to go.... I can guarantee you though, you will start to see more MMA schools around in the next couple of years... Now that UFC is being aired on National Televeision people are going to want to get into the sport... Just make sure you get into a good school... Make sure your instructor has/had experience in the ring, that always helps... Then again, you should be able to tell a good MMA instructor with experience...

I DID MY PART IN MAKING MMA MAINSTREAM BY CHALLENGING MY COUSIN TO A MATCH IN MY LIVING ROOM. HE SUFFERED A BLOW TO THE BREAD BASKET WITH A MUAY THAI KNEE AND STAY ON THE GROUND FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES CATCHING HIS BREATH.IT WAS A GREAT WIN FOR ME. I MAY BE 7 YEARS OLDER BUT HE OUTWEIGHTS ME BY 30 POUNDS SO IT WAS PRETTY EVEN MATCHED.CampO said:

I occaisonaly train with an ma school doing the japanese, korean and filipino arts. Inayan system of Eskrima, Chi Ryu Aiki Jitsu - Bernaschewice, Pancrase - Bass Rutten System ( yeah Bwoy!, check this guy's open hand techniques), Teakwon-Do - WTF System, Jiu- Jitsu-Do - Nihon, Judo - Kawashi System. There's only one sensei, but there are seminars and cliniques on a regular base from the Masters. On Eskrima I really into Kadena De Mano (Chain of hands), short distance bladed weapeon and hand to hand combat with grappling, also stick and knife combo. It's a great mix with my shotokan background and I think Jeet Kun Do would mix well too. After that it's Sinawali, dual stick with no system and Serrada stick or sword... but there are 3 more styles. There's also Pancrase and Jiu Jitsu which are also a great mix. In all most the pupils who attend to this school have 1st dan black which make the training level go up.
