Turntable an equipment

What will I need to plug my turntable into my computer, I know I need a preamp but I need to make sure what I need so im not buying the wrong stuff. Thanks fam

Is there any way I could just plug the turntable threw the preamp to my soundcard without the need of a mixer?

Yes HD...you can do that....a turntable needs some type of Pre either a mixer or a preamp....just plug the table into your preamp....and the output of the preamp into your soundcard....should work great....it needs that because the table has no volume control and needs a hot output
