Hey,
There are two things to setup:
1. Audio
2. MIDI
If you're using the sequencer on the Triton, you can get away without having the MIDI connection.
1. Using an audio cable, connect the audio outputs of the Triton to the audio inputs of your soundcard. If you're not sure which inputs on the soundcard to plug into, make sure you use the LINE input, it's usually blue.
2. Open the program you want to record into, like Cool Edit, Sound Forge, whatever.
3. Hit record in your program, choose 44.1khz, 16 bit, stereo when it asks for the file properties.
4. Hit play on your Triton's sequencer to start playback of your song. The audio should appear as a waveform in your recording program.
5. When your song has finished, hit stop in your recording software, then go to File>Save and choose Windows PCM (*.wav) as the file type.

Someone Anyone!
what kinda audio cable would i need any specific one?? I dont even see any audio inputs on my sound card. I see the microphone input and a speaker output and i believe theres one more back there.....im a very creative person but when it comes to stuff like this im dumb....sorry
Its a SoundBlaster AudioPCI 64D and it looks like this
A or B is for the speakers and C is for the micraphone....can i do anything with this?

Hey,
In your case, you need a 1/4" mono pair to 1/8" stereo mini-jack.
Plug it into the black input on your card (the 'B' input, I believe). It serves as a dual-purpose port, it can either be a LINE input (which is what you need) or a second output in case you have 4 speakers.

Hey,
Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics (do you have those out east?), Sam Ach, Guitar Center....they're pretty basic and common cables, any reputable music store will carry them.
Make sure the mini-jack end has TWO black bands in it, like in the drawing, this means that it's a stereo plug.

ok i got it from radio shack thanks!
Now my only problem is getting it to record. When i hit play on my sequencer i can hear the beat playing through my speakers on my pc and it sound great. But in cool edit i dont know how to get it to record.....when i first tried it by enabling track one for recording it was recording but sounded distorted because it was playing through my speakers but recording from my microphone....so i unplugged the mic and played it and recorded it but its not recording i can hear it but its not recording......how do i handle that?
